We acted as sell-side M&A advisor to the owners of SmartBill, the leading Romanian online business management software developer in relation to the transaction with strategic investor Visma.
SmartBill is the market leading provider of cloud based invoicing, inventory management, accounting and point-of-sale software to Romanian small and medium businesses. SmartBill has shown dynamic growth since the introduction of its first SaaS solution in 2014, now providing services to more than 60,000 business customers. The Company’s minority shareholders include VC investors Catalyst Romania and Gecad Ventures.
With the acquisition, Norway-based Visma further expands its geographic footprint in Central Eastern Europe. Visma Group is the leading business software provider in the Scandinavian region with a revenue of more than EUR 1 billion and 8,500 employees.
