Multi-stage sale of 100% of Pekpont, a leading Hungarian frozen bakery producer to the Belgian La Lorraine Bakery Group
Invescom acted as sell-side advisors to the owners of Pekpont, a leading Hungarian producer of frozen bakery products in connection with the sale of 100% of their quotas. Following a wide-scale international tender process La Lorraine Bakery Group acquired 100% of the quotas in a multi-stage transaction.
Since its foundation 20 years ago the Company became a major player in the Hungarian frozen bakery market. Continuously expanding offerings consist of various salty and sweet products, sandwich bases, puff pastries, doughnuts, scones as well as Paillaisse, one of the flagship bakery products of the Hungarian market. The Company’s products are available in almost all local and international retail chains.
The new owner headquartered in Belgium is one of Europe’s largest producer of frozen and fresh bakery products with € 750m sales in 2020.
