Invescom acted as sell-side advisor to the owners of Savaria Ipartechnika, a leading provider of precision metal manufacturing services, on the sale of a majority stake to a consortium of international and Hungarian investors, led by Áron Szabó and co-invested by Novastone Capital Advisors and Széchenyi Alapok.

Savaria supplies custom aluminium and steel parts, prototypes, tools and machines to clients in various industries (railway, automotive, agricultural machinery, medical, electronics, etc.). Based on a cutting-edge machinery park, the company’s main manufacturing technologies include CNC milling, CNC turning, and wire and sinker EDM.

Savaria provides high-value added, end-to-end services from product design, to prototyping, manufacturing, assembly and testing. Key differentiators vs peers include Savaria’s sophisticated in-house engineering competences, its premium product quality (high geometrical complexity combined with micron-level tolerance) and its agile operations enabling short lead time.

A complex transaction was delivered involving an international group of institutional and private investors, and a sophisticated transaction structure, all amidst a challenging economic and industrial environment. The successful deal underlines Invescom’s expertise in the industrials and metal manufacturing sectors and its ability to execute in demanding situations.
