Invescom acted as sell-side advisor to the owners of Otthon Centrum, Hungary’s leading real estate and financial products brokerage group, on their two-stage exit deal with MBH Bank. The owners sell 80% of their stakes now and the remaining 20% in 2028 expectedly, subject to certain conditions. The sellers will remain with Otthon Centrum, actively supporting the group’s post-transaction operations and its next phase of growth through the period of joint ownership.

Founded in 2000, Otthon Centrum has grown into the leading player in Hungary’s real estate brokerage market. Building on its strong market position, nationwide coverage and direct access to a wide pool of private and corporate prospects, the group also became the leading broker of financial products. Currently, Otthon Centrum operates with a network of over 200 outlets, 1,400 real estate agents and 500 financial consultants under 4 different brands, covering a complete spectrum of real estate brokerage and related services, as well as mediating real estate-related loans, savings, insurance, investments, and other financial products.

Through this transaction, Otthon Centrum secured a strong banking background, facilitating further growth and unlocking outstanding synergy potential both in real estate and financial brokerage. The sellers retained a 20% ownership stake with a call/put option which, subject to certain conditions, is exercisable from 2028.

MBH Bank, Hungary’s second-largest bank by total assets and net profit, has further strengthened its position in residential lending. Following its acquisition of Fundamenta in 2024, this transaction marks another strategic step towards becoming the No. 1 choice for anyone who foster dreams of own homes. The deal will help MBH Bank obtain a leading position in the home loan market, create an ecosystem with a complete offering of home-related products, and transform one-time sales into long-lasting customer relationships. Further to that, the bank seeks to leverage substantial synergies with its core operation and recent acquisitions.
